Lighting Design: Knowledge, experience and software.

Our core purpose is to provide the best quality and most appropriate lights for our individual clients needs. Many projects require more than just providing reliable and efficient lights, and this is where our experience proves itself. When necessary we survey, research, simulate and forecast for each project through a considered process before the lights have even been supplied - then we have installation and warranty options to round off our holistic approach to lighting.

Account manager Each client is given direct contact information to an account manager, their primary contact throughout the lighting process. This ensures communication is direct and efficient. For the client this means there is only one number and email you need. On our end your project manager will schedule and organise the process to keep the project on time.

Site Survey When necessary our first steps include a site survey. We use lux meters and laser measuring devices to assess the space and lighting needs. This also gives us an excellent point of comparison to reveal the difference between an existing lighting setup and our lighting solution. At this point we will take a count of the current lighting fixtures if we are retro-fitting with new lamps, or begin an assessment if the current lighting plan is changing or not yet in place. We also typically take photographs of existing lighting fixtures, room features and reference points for the next part of our process.

Simulations By recreating the site in 3D we can simulate the effects of LED lighting accurately with photometric data specific to our lights. From these simulations we can visually represent the beam angles of the lights and take lux readings from any surface or location. This is an essential part of the process as it takes away any guess-work for critical light levels in any given area such as office desks, food preparation surfaces, forklift and goods storage areas etc. We want to help you maintain a safe working environment - these simulations give peace of mind.

Savings analysis When making the switch from traditional or fluorescent lighting there can be questions about the initial cost of LED lighting. We provide cost savings forecasts which are generated from basic information such as current lamp wattage, hours of use per day and cost per KWh. These values are then calculated and compared side-by-side with LED equivalents typically over a span of five years. In every project we have encountered to date LED lamps are clearly the most economical option and repay the initial investment through savings very quickly. This is usually before we take into account the lifespan and maintenance costs of fluorescent or tungsten lamps over the manufacturer stated life of the LEDs - as such the potential savings are much higher in time. These savings are broken down to make them easy to understand and are continually developed throughout the project until the final lighting options have been chosen.

Supply We strive to provide our products as quickly as possible and we stock a large number of lights, however as many projects require customised lighting we provide air and sea shipping options from our manufacturers. When supplying bulk orders we take necesary steps to ensure the lights are as uniform as possible by using the same batch of LED chips and materials.

Installation We have close working relationships with a number of electrical contractors whom we trust to install and certify our lights correctly.
